Touch up your eyebrows

If you have over plucked your eyebrows, have light coloured hairs or just want to add extra glamour for a night out the best thing to do is colour in your eyebrows with an eyeshadow.

If i am off out on the town i always touch up my eyebrows with eyeshadow as it completes my look.

Personally in my opinion anyway i think that if you use a pencil you look cheap and tarty, especially if you go overboard with harsh looking lines. If you use eyeshadow you will be able to blend in well and it gives you a more natural appearance.

I get mine from M.A.C and would highly recommend going to there counter to find your eyebrow eyeshadow as there is a huge collection and you will easily find a colour to suit you. Do not go for the colour matching your hair though, find one a shade or two lighter as when you apply the powder to your brows they will appear much darker and you are taking a risk of going out like a drag queen.

When you have found your match colour it is really easy to apply. Use a small, thin brush and add a small amount of the powder onto it and apply to your eyebrows in small strokes. If they don’t look as dark as you would like them to and some more powder and re-apply. Don’t worry if you make a mistake it will happen whilst your practising, just make sure you have an ear bud to hand to tidy up and start again!

Eyebrow Threading

I usually pluck or wax my eyebrows but whilst shopping in Selfridges I was pretty surprised to see the beauty department threading eyebrows. I was to intrigued to walk away and had to try this out for myself, I have read about eyebrow threading in magazines but never seen exactly how it works.

The beautician was lovely and explained the whole process of threading to me. To be honest I was a little nervous as I assumed the process would be painful but it didn’t hurt at all.

To those of you who do not know what eyebrow threading is already it is a length of twisted cotton that is used to catch and pull out the hairs to create the “perfect” brow look.

I would definitely recommend anybody thinking of shaping or tidying up their eyebrows to try this simply procedure.
