Heel your Heels
January 3, 2009
It is not very pleasant when your heels crack and can be really uncomfortable when walking. I am a sucker for high heels as I feel to short when I don’t wear them so my heels seem to be in constant agony. So I will tell you my little secret that I have recently found that keeps my heels baby smooth and means I can walk around in my heels all day without any discomfort… Lucas’ Papaw Ointment! This stuff is genius, every night when I am watching TV I add a small amount to my feet and massage in for a couple of minutes. As soon as I finish doing this my feet so soft and are prepared for another day in my high heels!

HAPPY NEW YEARS DAY!!!
January 1, 2009
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and great New Year!
I have woke up today feeling a tad worse for wear and in need of a serious detox and pamper. The last 2 weeks have started to catch up with me and my skin looks terrible and I look like I haven’t had any sleep in days…not a great way to start the year looking like crap but o well instead of mopping around feeling sorry for myself its time to give myself some TLC and wash off last nights makeup.
So if like myself your hair is looking lifeless after to many nights out and constantly putting your hair through intense heat and styling products the best thing to do is give your hair a good shampoo and add heaps of conditioner and massage into your head for 2 minutes and rinse. I am a brunette so will be adding some leave in shine treatment in chocolate brown from John Frieda and then blowing drying straight to show off my shiny hair.
That was the easy bit now its time to pamper my face – I have woke up with a very blotchy complexion and very attractive dark circles round my eyes…that is why I should say NO to sambukas!
Firstly I will be adding heaps of MD Formulation to get rid of every scrap of makeup and dirt off my face then adding an intense Dermalogica facial mask to draw out impurities and give some freshness and moisture back to my face. If like myself you suffer from oily skin you need to add plenty of an oil control moisturiser all over your face and neck. Instantly you will feel 10 times better and clean. To give away tell tale signs of a late night finish your regime with brightening eye drops, these have an immediate effect and add instant spark to your eyes!
Don’t forget to give your body a good all-over scrub to get rid of any dry skin cells. You need a sugar scrub and to apply to your skin and in circular motions concentrating mainly on the rough areas such as the elbows and knees. When finished add rich body moisturiser all over your skin…delightful!
When you are all clean and fresh make sure you then go out with a smile and sparkle for the next 12 months!

MD Formulation – The Answer To Clear Skin
December 17, 2008
If you have read my blogs you have probably now gathered that I suffer from oily skin and i am always trying new products to help keep the shine down. My aunty is a make-up artist so I am constantly bending her ear as to what new products she has been trying and if they are any good. So when she highly recommended that I should use MD Formulation Facial Cleansing Gel for Oily Skin I was out the next day buying one and I cant believe I am saying this but It is very close to taking over my Dermalogica products!
It is tricky to find there products as it is an American company but most beauty salons sell them. So if you are going to America make sure you stock up as it’s much cheaper, you are looking to pay around £20.00 to £30.00 for a bottle here!
As a teenager my skin was pretty atrocious and i had the worst acne possible. I don’t really suffer now but I do get the odd outburst every now and then and suffer from blemishes so I have to give my skin a lot of TLC. Since I have been using MD Formulation my skin has cleared up and surprisingly I have not had an outburst since I have been using this product.
I only use this cleanser every night time when I am removing my make-up. I add a small amount to the palm of my hands and massage into my face for around 2 minutes, you don’t even need to use eye make-up remover as it removes it for you, I then rinse my face around 10 times and your skin is left feeling squeaky clean. It removes all excess oil, balance oil reduction, reduce the appearance of enlarge pores and I have noticed all of these improved within my skin and i am left with a much healthier, clearer complexion.
One thing that I can only have a very little moan about is that when I went on the sunbed after using the cleanser I burnt my face but it does state that it is sensitive to sunlight so its my own fault for not reading the packaging before I went on the sunbed.
So if you are suffering from bad acne or have acne scaring and blemishes you really do have to try this product. It has been a miracle for me and I will most certainly continue using MD Formulation and invest in more of there range. Even though it is expensive for a face wash it is worth every penny and good value for money as the bottle lasts for months.

Keep healthy this winter with vitamins
December 12, 2008
I am suffering from the winter blues and my skin is not looking its best. I have never been a vitamin user and after speaking to my friend and asking how her skin is constantly glowing I was pretty surprised to hear that she puts it all down to vitamins.
The vitamins she takes daily are Antioxidant vitamins that clean up all of the free radials in our body. After doing some research I found out the free radicals damage our organs and cause us to look and feel older. Unfortunately our bodies produce these naturally and increases when exposed to pollution, stress, cigarettes and eating badly. So if you take a antioxidants, you will be protecting your health of your vital organs and most importantly you will keep your skin looking young and maintaining your youthful good looks and stay beautiful for longer…sold!
So I have started taking these and eating plenty of fruit and veg and to be honest I have noticed a huge difference in skin.
Other Vitamins that are worth taking to keep to healthy are:
Vitamin A:
Helps with growth, eyesight and healthy skin.
Vitamin C:
Good for your immune system. Helps wounds heal and absorbs iron.
Vitamin D:
Stronger bones.
Folic acid:
Very important before and after pregnancy.

Banish those blemishes
December 2, 2008
We have only been in December for a few days and already the late nights have started so as you can probably imagine it is playing chaos with my skin leaving me with blemishes and spots, ewww!
As blemishes is one thing that drives me nearly as mad as cellulite I had to find a quick fix so here is where i share my secret with you if you are suffering from blotchy skin. You need to buy Blemish Complex, it’s a four step kit that gets rid of those dreaded blotches and pimples.
I have been using it for 1 week now and I have noticed a huge improvement in my skin, it is not as clear as I would like it to be but I have only been using the kit for a week!
It is really easy to use and all comes in the same pack. Firstly you start with step 1 the Cleanser to wash and remove all dirt and grease from your skin, step 2 is the blemish target formula that you place directly on the blemish, step 3, scrub your face with the blemish treatment gel and finally step 4, a light moisturiser. Done, how easy!!!!!
At £25.50 for the set I will be buying some for Christmas presents too!

Pain = Beauty! Will you inject- a-tan???
November 24, 2008
This is by far the craziest thing I have ever heard but very exciting!
Sunbeds and tanning lotions could be a thing of the past thanks to scientists who have made a drug that creates an instant tan – Welcome Epitan.
The procedure is an injection that is injected into your skin that triggers the production of melanin, the brown pigment that gives your skin that lovely bronzed look.
Studies in Australia have shown that individuals who get 10 injections in two weeks develop a tan that lasts at least two months without any sun exposure.
So if you are a seeking that all over tan this will definitely be the best and safer option for you as there are no risks of skin cancer and ageing to the skin.
I will most certainly be trying this out and will keep you posted to let you know if it works – unfortunately will have to wait 2 years before it comes to England. If it is granted it will be hitting the states soon so I may have to make a trip over there sooner to have it done as I am to intrigued!
Tan-tas-tic!!!

How to prevent shaving rash
November 13, 2008
How god damn annoying are shaving rashes! There are many ways to prevent a shaving rash leaving you with smooth skin after a shave.
It is all about how you use your razor to keep yourself smooth and rash free!
Ladies just because winter is here that means no excuse for sticking your razor away until Summer arrives again!
Follow my step-by-step guide below to super smooth pins:
Do not shave in the opposite direction to which your hair grows. If you hair grow downwards, pull the razor downwards and vice versa.
Use a triple-blade razor. Using a single blade does not give a close shave! Triple blades give you a close shave leaving you stubble free. Make sure the razor is flexible so say goodbye to your old school BIC if you own one.
It is easy said than done but do not pull the skin when you are shaving. If you do this you will most likely notice that you have a lot of in growing hairs.
NEVER dry shave, you have to prepare your skin with a shaving gel before hand. Do not use soap it dries out your skin and is a big no no for shaving. When you have applied the shaving cream leave for a few seconds to let the hairs soften.
When you have finished shaving slather the area in moisturiser to ensure that it does not dry the skin.
If you follow the above you will have soft lefts and notice that you will not suffer from dreaded stubble after!

Make your own scrumptious face mask
November 4, 2008
We all love a bit of chocolate cos it tastes so good damn good but not only is it good for your taste buds it also works miracles for your skin. As it is full of antioxidants it makes you skin get a healthy glow and improves your mood.
See below on how to make your own delicious facial and nourish you skin:
Add 1/3 of a cup of cocoa powder and 3 tea spoons of oatmeal powder into a bowl
Add a sprinkle of salt and ¼ of a cup of milk and stir together all the ingredients together
Pour into a boiler and keep stirring until it is like a pudding texture
Take off heat and allow cooling for a few minutes
Make sure you clean your face until all make-up is removed
Apply the face mask and massage all over your face and leave for 15 minutes
Wash off with warm water
Just make sure you do not get to tempted to eat the mask before applying to your face!
