Salma Hayek to launch Skincare Line

Exciting news the beautiful Salma Hayek will be creating her own anti-ageing skincare line!

The line is inspired by her late Grandmother and will be available in Drug stores soon. Salma has been working on the anti-ageing skin care line for the past 3 years. Her grandmother used the top secret ingredients and passed away at 96 without a wrinkle in site so obviously this is going to be a huge successful and fly off the shelves, especially as it is going to be affordable for us mere mortals to be able to afford.

As reported by Salma:

I’m trying to develop a line with a drugstore so that it is affordable for everyone. We’ve researched for two to three years. My grandmother was a cosmetologist and she used to make her own creams, but my whole approach is how can we get the essence of the really expensive ones, but for everyone to be able to afford.

When she died at 96, of course her skin had sagged, but she didn”t have any wrinkles. She made her own creams using secret ingredients you can only find in Latin America.

It all sounds pretty appealing to me and if it makes my skin as immaculate as Salma’s it will be worth every penny!

The strange world of a cosmetic surgeon

Cosmetic surgery has been around for years and is getting more popular by the day. Over the years surgery has improved dramatically but I was pretty surprised when I come across some of the most bizarre surgery treatments ever!!!

So I have come up with a list of some procedures that cosmetic surgeons are now offering:

Hand Enhancement – WHAT! I don’t get why you could care that much about your hands but people do say that hands are a tell-tale sign of how old you are. So if you want a youthful looking hands you can have dermal fillers injected into them.

Botox foot and armpit treatment – I don’t like the sound of this one, if you are going to have botox injected into your under arm or feet to stop perspiration then surely it has to come out of another part of your body, ewww, I don’t like to think! If you so want the treatment it will be pretty painful and lasts for around 6-10 months.

Toe shortening or lengthening – if you are suffering from a toe that is larger than your big toe and really can’t stand the shape of your toes you can now have surgery to make them match. I suppose this is a good idea for people who suffer from this, even though this is common in many people, I know a few people who have it and refuse to wear open toe shoes and not much confidence. This will be money well spent as it will improve your confidence and your feet can breathe at last.

Rib resection – most people want a smaller waist line but would you ever consider getting your “floating ribs” removed to achieve this?

Masculine knuckles – if you are not happy with the look of your knuckles you can now have the bone shaved to make them appear smaller.

I never realised just how vain some people are and its hard to believe that some people out there are actually paying for treatments like this.

Would you have a lunchtime boob job???

I was pretty surprised to find out that a new trend is to have a “lunchtime boob job”! This does not sound right at all so i had to find out more. Personally a boob job is something that i would never say no to and this sounds very appealing that i could pop out on my lunch and return a cup size larger, ummmm, sounds a little to good to be true!

So here’s how it goes…Macrolane is a breast enhancing injection that will increase your breasts by a cup size for up to 18 months. It is a hell of a lot cheaper than implants at £2000.00 for the treatment and seems to be less painful. You go under local anaesthetic and a knitting-needle sized syringe is pierced into your breast and the gel is injected in. Within 30 minutes you will walk away with firm, full breasts!

All sounds good to me! The only thing that i am wary of is that the jab has not been around for that long so you don’t know what the long term effects could be but i like the idea that it is not permanent so if you are not happy with larger breast they are not going to be that size for life.

After looking at some before and after pictures there is evidence that the procedure does work!

I have 90% talked myself into saving up for this now! If you have already had the jab it would be good to hear what you think and if you noticed results?

How to make promotional girls look there best…

If you are an events organiser or have been put in charge of organising an event for the first time and finding it a little daunting look no further!

I have put together a few ideas to make your event and promotional girls look there best!

As we all know it can be extremely expensive to hire out promotional girls for the day, especially whilst we are all being careful on budgets due to the dreaded recession so why not get friends, family and colleagues together to help run the event.

So here’s the plan…

Get all the girlies together for preparation and get them dolled up to the max…on a budget!

Firstly you need to make sure that whatever the event is for that your company slogan is all over the clothing for as much publicity as possible. Promotional clothing is a great way of getting your name around even if you just go for a t-shirt or you can go for the whole works if you have the funds to spend like on the shorts, hoodies or even personalised pens to hand out. Whatever you decide to go for have your girls all dressed the same!

Make your event glamorous and your girls beautiful be following these simple make-up steps:

Hair – Again keep everyones hair the same. I personally would recommend tying hair back into a pony tail as if you are on your feet all day there is a chance that hair will go greasy and be sticking to your face half way through the event. For a sleek pony tail use an elastic band to hold the pony and wrap a small amount of hair around it and clip underneath so you can not see the clip.

Face – You don’t want to use an oily foundation as it will wipe off your face. Go for prima powder as it stays in place all day and does not give you an oily complexion. Put your girls in plenty of mascara to make there eyes stand out and go for a gloss on the lipsticks. I would stay clear of lipstick as it is not a good look speaking to people with lipstick on your teeth!

Last but not least as long as your girls arrive with a smiley, approachable face and looking dolled up to the max there is no reason your event will not run smoothly and also save you plenty of £££££!

Lindsay Lohan to launch line of self-tanning products

Mmmmmmmmm I don’t know how appealing this one sounds!!! I have seen far to many pictures of Li-Lo sporting the all over orange glow, grubby finger and white feet on numerous occasions so she is not exactly a role model for perfecting a fake tan.

The party girl insists though that her range is different from other fake tan products…I wonder if by different she means tacky and orange?!?

The campaign pictures are stunning of the Mean Girls actress and her tan does look good but I am putting that down to some pretty good photo shop work.

Lindsay’s own line of self-tanning products is to launch next month!

When surgery goes terribly wrong…

Its hard to believe that Tara Reid was one of the hottest girls in Hollywood after her appearance in American Pie but what the hell is has gone wrong.

It shows that money and fame can send you a little crazy as she has spent a fortune on cosmetic surgery to make her look an absolute mess!

I think that if i was to have cosmetic surgery and it was to go wrong i would be petrified to go under the knife but not Tara she couldn’t get enough of it and went back for more and more botch jobs.

Tara has the worst stomach tuck i have ever seen and don’t get me started on those uneven boobs!!!

As you can see from the pictures below she is a shadow of her former beautiful self and i doubt she will be in every mans top 10 list anymore…

Clean your make-up brushes

If you want your skin to stay spot free you really do have to take care of your make-up brushes and clean them weekly. Your brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria and you will be adding more bacteria to your face every time the brush touches your skin, ewwwww!

It’s hard to believe that before Freida, 24, landed her role in Slumdog Millionaire she was struggerling to find a job as a struggerling model and now offers are flying in , she is sharing acting tips with Angelina Jolie and the most photographed face at Milan Fashion Week…lucky girl!!!

Estee Lauder previous models have been Gwyneth Paltrow and Liz Hurley so it must have been an honor for Freida to be approached by them.
