New make-up line from Chanel

Not good for my bank balance, I have come across the new make-up line from Chanel and wow it’s a-maz-ing!!!

You have to check out the Bohemian Fantasy make-up line from Peter Philip, its all about dark mysterious eyes and fiery lips.

There is a selection if lip creams, eyeshadows, mascaras and much more. All are divine and must have for every girl who loves glamour!

My must have of the collection is the Satin Lip Color, it comes in 5 fab shades, from pale pink to deep plum, in Chanel’s trademark C signature in a black lacquered case!

Coco would be so proud!

New Make-up line by Dolce & Gabbana

Exciting times, the much loved Dolce & Gabbana are set to launch a make-up line with the beautiful actress Scarlet Johansson being named as the face.

“We see makeup as another thing for women, like a dress. We worked on the makeup line like we work on a clothing collection — you can change makeup like you can change your clothes, depending on your mood,” Stefano Gabbana told WWD on Friday.

There is going to be a selection of lipsticks, nail varnishes , foundations, mascaras and eye shadows. I can see the line being highly successful if they take inspiration from there fantastic clothes and fragrance collections.

You will have to be patient though the launch is not until Spring!

It sounds amazing to me and I can’t wait to try it!

Humorous beauty products

When it comes to our beauty regime we all like to take it seriously but thanks to Soap&Glory we can now have a bit of fun with it too!

This brand is a wicked range with humorous names for there beauty products from Marcia Kilgore, the creator of the Bliss spa range. The names of the products are highly amusing a lip plumping gloss is named Sexy Mother Pucker, Clean On Me shower gel and One Night Tanned, self tanning cream.

The packaging is retro pink and grey with black and white 60’s inspired pictures and different slogans on it.
I am a bit of a sucker and fall for packaging, especially anything pink and pretty, so I simply bought these just so they would look cool on my bathroom shelf!

I come across the range in Harvey Nichols but you can also purchase from the larger Boots stores.

Treat that special someone in your life to a Joe Malone candle – you will be In the good books for life!

Ok so the price is a little steep at £80 per candle, yes that is the right total not a keying error, but is so worth every penny.

I was not lucky enough to get one bought for me so I treated myself to one and I absolutely love it. The smell is delightful and really relaxes me. I light it most evenings and it is still going and everyone always compliments the smell. The good thing with Joe Malone candles is that the holder is elegant and simple and looks lovely anywhere in your house.

The entire Joe Malone collection is amazing but this is just perfect and by far the best purchase if you want to unwind after a busy day in bath with a scrummy smell.

Vanity Cases

If like myself you have hoards of make up and beauty products and dread staying out for a night as you have got to lug all your collection around then you have to buy a vanity case. I bought one at weekend and it is an absolute god send!

I bought a pink, aluminium case and it has plenty of storage and trays for all your essentials…..cleaner, toner, moisturiser, eye cream, sunscreen, foundation, concealer, mascara, eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, hair products, perfume, ect.

You can buy vanity cases from most stores from Argos to Selfridges.

Keep cool in the office

If your skin is suffering from overheated or dry office air you should try Evian’s cool mist it revives your makeup throughout the day, and keeps you looking fresh by replenishing that much needed moisture. You can use this after applying your make-up, all you need to is hold at arms length, and give a light spray over your face and the job is done.

What I notice with perfume is that you can smell it on someone and it smells really good, you go and buy it for yourself and it smells completely different. So annoying!!! When perfume shopping always take a trusted friend with you for there opinion, I usually spray on my wrist leave it for 15 mins and go back to buy it if I still like the smell as it is so hard to make a decision when you instantly spray as it is to strong.

Everyone has a “trademark scent” and I always go for Gucci Rush at weekends, most of my friends wear this fragrance and it smells lovely on everyone. I have been wearing it for years now and have no intensions of changing. It’s a really feminine scent without being to heavy and overpowering. It suits all ages so I would definitely recommend this perfume if you are struggerling to find one.
