Worst women’s deodorant

April 22, 2009

I stayed at my mates and to my utter discuss I forgot my deodorant and had to borrow hers and all she had was Adidas for women, ok so I was not to impressed by having to use this as is reminds of a deodorant for men but I was desperate and had no choice but to use it. When I first put on the deodorant i nearly hurled when I had to put it on as the odor is so strong you struggle to catch your breath.

This deodorant is not a deodorant it is just a vile spray. When you put it on it doesn’t even produce any wetness, weird! It is meant to last 24 hours, yeah right, after one after I was off to Boots to pick up a scrummy Nivea deodorant stick and smell like a lady again.

What concerns me the most is that Adidas deodorant is for women who go to the gym and god help the person who is running next to the women wearing this deodorant.

So this product gets 0 ratings!!!

Scar removal

January 24, 2009

A couple of years ago I had an operation on my back to remove my lower disc so was left with an unpleasant scar. I have had the scar for years now and tried many products to try and make the scar not as obvious and take the redness out of it.

A friend of mine works as a medical rep and at the time was selling Dermatix and highly recommended it to me as it has been specially designed to flatten raised scars and fade away the redness. So always open to try out new products I thought It was worth giving it a go, even though I thought it would just be another product that states it will do something and doesn’t actually work I was pretty surprised by the dramatic results in a couple of weeks.

I started putting a small amount on the scar every night and already the scar has nearly become invisible. It used to be raised, red and had a bumpy feel to it now it is totally smooth and has a very faint colour to it.

Not only does Dermatix remove scars from surgery it can also be used to reduce scars from burns and acne.

If you have a scar that is making you lose your confidence Dermatix does work and is definitely worth buying!

Relax and distress with Origins

January 5, 2009

I am definitely suffering from the January blues!

When I was looking through my Christmas presents I thought someone was taking the mic when I got bought some Origins Peace of Mind…are people trying to say that I am a stress head??? Obviously they know me to well and that every year come January I get some kind of lurgi and feel sluggish wirh constant headaches! So Origins was by far one of the smallest but best Christmas presents I got!

It comes in a small bottle and immediately helps cure a headache and stress. It smells pretty fresh and relaxing to and is a definite must have for your handbag.

All you need to do is massage into your temples, back of your neck (perfect) and on your earlobes and you feel a tingle and with a quick reaction you feel that your mood lifts and your worries go. Sounds weird, yes…but it really does work!

A definite pick me up…

Maybe its NOT Maybelline

December 19, 2008

I always like to have a change so after seeing pictures of the Maybelline matte mousse foundation I thought I would give it a go as it looked stunning (on the pictures it did anyway!)

So as you have probably gathered I am about to have a rant and will definitely not be recommending this foundation to anyone!

This foundation is hard, hard work to put on, most foundations glide onto your face and blend in really well; this one is like putting thick dirt on your face, it does not blend in and has no moisture to it. It is impossible to get a flawless finish and flakes off your face its that dry and creates very attractive darker patches …perfect for fancy dress as a clown though!

The worst is that it is so thick and gross that it rubbed off all over my clothes and after 2 washes it is still stained!

So after using this once it now has a new home…in my bin!

Hollywood Toes Disaster!

November 10, 2008

I always wear acrylic nails on my hand as i have a dirty habit of biting my nails until they bleed, sick i know, but i do it without realising. When it comes to my toe nails i tend to just paint them trusty red but i thought it would be a good idea to get some stick on toe nails that have the same look as my acrylic hand nails…how wrong was i!

When i found these nails in Boots they looked the perfect cheat for making me look like i have Hollywood toes. Reading the instructions they seemed easy to put on and will stay put for a couple of days…if only!!!

From the second i started applying these toes it was disastrous! Firstly i couldn’t get into the glue that was provided with the kit, when i went to open it i glued my scissors together then it exploded all over my pants that i was wearing, not good when i am wearing Juicy velour pants! By this point i was wanting to tear my hair out! When i came to applying the fake nails i realised just what a pile of crap i have purchased. They are so fiddly and do NOT stay on. I added the glue onto each nail and pressed on my toe for a minute then after another minute i would find it on the floor. The worst was that the big toe nails worked wonders unlike the others, i tried everything to get these buggers off but they were having none of it. So i ended up going out in my new peep toe shoes with two big toes on and my other toes were plain…not a good look i looked like a moron and was paranoid all night.

If you do want your toes to look glam i would recommend getting professional acrylics on your toes or invest in a good nail polish!

And the worst fake tan ever belongs to…

July 23, 2008

Every now and then i like to have a dabble of some fake tan and i think i have been scared for life after an awful experience that left me looking more orange than Jodie Marsh, for those of you who think this is imposable believe me it could happen to you if you use Rimmel Sun Shimmer Self Tan gel.

Really it does serve me right as i decided to use this “orange tan” cream 3 hours before i had a night out planned when i should of tested it days before! But i was in a panic as i was wearing shorts and to my horror my legs were pure white so i slapped on the cream expecting to look like i have just stepped off a plane from 3 weeks in the Caribbean with an all over “sun-kissed glow!” but i think they should state on the bottle buy this if you want to look like a full-on “Footballer’s Wife”. All i wanted was to have a slight tan, is that really to much to ask for???

I was more mortified as it was to late to cancel my night out so there was no way of escaping. I tried so hard before i went out to wash the fake tan off with no luck, if anything i was making myself look like i had leprosy.

Well as you can now gather i went out that night, was a laughing stock to my friends, got told on more than one occasion that i smelt of fake tan and had even more stick a week later when we got the pictures printed and i stand out a mile away!

Hair Dye Disaster

May 20, 2008

I felt the need for a change and decided it was time to dye my hair, nothing drastic just to make the colour more lighter and o my god what a disaster!!! It all started off so well and ended so wrong! I have dyed my hair several times before but every time i go for a different make this time i went for Wella, a very summery colour that should of turned out light brown. I went along with all the directions on the box and made sure i applied it evenly throughout my hair after 20 minutes of torture, the smell is repulsive, i washed the dye off and dried my hair. I was shocked to see the end result, in some places it was light and other places dark in large circles. The worst was having to step out in public to get to my hairdressers FAST for advice and a re-dye. Anyone who is going to use this hair dye be very careful and do not be surprised if it turns out to be a disaster, you have been warned!

Coloured Contacts – Stand Out In The Crowd

May 15, 2008

I was getting bored of having the same colour eyes and wanted a change. I have heard of coloured contacts but was always unsure about how they would look after months of debiting i thought it was about time i give them a try. I was amazed at how many different colours they come in, you can buy them in Green, Hazel, Grey, Blue, if you want to be a little crazy flags. You can buy these at most high street opticians but to pick up a bargain go to Fresh Look Colour Contact Lenses. I have bought a selection of colours from this company, the service is great and the colours are striking and no one could tell they are fake as they look realistic.

I was really nervous about putting the contacts into my eye, it does take a bit of practise, but practise makes perfect and i am whizz now. All you have to do is open your eyelid with your fingers and very carefully put the lens in with your fingertip.

Make sure you always clean the lenses properly when you take them out, even if it is early hours in the morning and you are suffering from a night out, it only takes 2 minutes!

Clearsasil - BIG waste of money!

May 13, 2008

You may have read or seen the adverts for Clearasil raving on how good it is and you will have a fresh face and be spot and dimple free in no time….if only. In my opinion this is the biggest waste of time and money i have spent using these products. As most girls do you panic as soon as you see a spot so after hearing all these good reviews i thought it would be worth trying there products, to my disappointment i could see my face gradually getting more red, gaining more dimples and my blemishes started to get worse, it completely contradicts itself from the advert, i definitely did not gain more confidence! If you have bought a bottle of Clearasil i would recommend throwing it into the bin. If you are a spot sufferer there are plenty of better products on the market if you look around, it can be more expensive but if you want your skin to glow i would recommend going for a facial and the girls will advise you on the best products for your skin and who knows best than a beautician.

Dont try it!!!

May 2, 2008

I am very fussy when it comes to shampoos and conditioners, i am not exaggerating when i say i have tried practically everyone there is to offer!

I have already raved about James Brown and how amazing his products are so i thought i would share with you my opinion on what i believe is the worst shampoo and conditioner…….EVER!

Well where do i start these “hair care” treatments left my hair dry, brittle and worst of all fall out. If this has happened to you there is a good chance you have been using Pantene. It fooled me as when you first use it your hair will go really shiny and smooth but give it a couple of weeks and you will see the damage. It damaged my hair so much that i had to get around 3 inches cut off my hair and it took weeks for my hair to repair itself after the damaged i cause using these vile products.

Warning: Do Not fall for the commercials!!!!!
