Youthful Hands
June 27, 2008
Hands are a huge age give away of your age, take Madonna for instance she has an amazing face and figure for a 50 year old but have you seen her hands!!!
Most people forget to give there hands a little TLC but you really should, so start now!
Caring for your hands will only take 2 minutes out of your day even if you only add a bit of hand cream everyday, The Sanctuary collection offer a selection of really good hand creams at a reasonable price that will help to prevent your hands from premature ageing.
Once a week you should cover your hands in cream and wear cotton gloves overnight to help your skin absorb the cream better, this will leave your hands soft and smooth in the morning.

How to cover up blemishes
June 26, 2008
Everyone will most likely have a skin flare-up once in your life…..don’t panic, these can easily be concealed. There is a huge selection of good over-the-counter help and products to try.
It can be difficult to cover a blemish so firstly you need to make sure you get a good concealer that will stay put. I would recommend L’Oreal high coverage concealer as this is a thick concealer so covers the blemish really well to leave your complexion clear. Do not layer it on thick straight away, start with a small amount and gradually build. This has always worked a treat for me, if the blemishes do not go it would be best to go and see a dermatologist who will be able to provide you with some treatments to help prevent the condition.

Accessorise your hair on the beach
June 24, 2008
If you are off abroad this summer why not add that extra bit of glamour to the beach by accessorising your hair (and i don’t mean one of those colourful braids, unless you are under 12 years of age!) i mean hair clips, large flowers and headbands.
All hair accessories can be found in just about any hair aisle at a department store or supermarket.
Miss Selfridge have a fabulous range at the moment, all bold and bright colours and dozens to choose from.

Pink Hair….would you or wouldn’t you?
June 23, 2008
I am a big fan of coloring my hair and like to go for a drastic change at times but going Pink seems a little crazy. I have seen pictures of celebrities going for candy pink hair, most recently Lilly Allen has been modeling the trend. Do you think this look is sassy or straight-up silly?
I don’t think I would ever have the courage to do this and I really do not think it is a good look but I do have to admit that the look is fun and twenty something year old probably could pull it off. If you have the skin tone of Lilly Allen it is much more flattering to have brown or black hair though.
If you are feeling daring you can buy a pink hair dye from Fudge, £6.95 for 75ml in Pink Moon. I would definitely recommend a wash in wash out treatment first (just to make sure you like it!!!), if you do then go to a professional salon for a permanent pink dye.

Body Moisturiser
June 20, 2008
Summer skin isn’t any good if it dried out. Whatever time of year it is I always have to use Kiehl’s Crème de Corps. This is a cult product that Kate Moss, Gwyneth Paltrow, Britney Spearsr…. I think you are getting the picture can not live without. Its has been around for years and is fantastic for your skin.
Crème de Corps is a luxurious body moisturiser. This product stands out more than the other moisturisers out there as it does not contain water making it extremely rich and the smell is devine.
The cream does not leave your skin greasy and leaves you with a beautiful sheen., the bonus is that this product really helps get rid of stretch marks.
Not many people have heard of Kiehl’s as it is really exclusive, even though the bottle is not very glamorous, there is only one store and that is in New York. I know the price is a little over average for a moisturiser but who cares when it leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft.

How to create curls with hair straighteners
June 18, 2008
See below for my step by step guide to curling your hair with hair straighteners:
Step 1:
Wash and blow dry your hair
Step 2:
Holding your irons at the end, wrap your hair around the bottom plate, only lightly gripping the hair
Step 3:
As you pull the iron towards the end of your hair, you have to rotate outwards
Step 4:
If you are looking to create volume and bigger curls, follow the above steps but take larger sections of the hair
Step 5:
Never start to close to the roots as it will be a bit OTT, start at the bottom and this means that you will create soft and bouncy curls
Step 6:
Keep patient! You will most likely not get the perfect curl on the first try, don’t worry, just leave that section and move onto the next curl and go back to it when it has had chance to cool down. The back of the head is always the hardest but keep trying, you will get there!

Unleash Your Inner Carrie Bradshaw!
June 17, 2008
Every girl must have now seen the Sex and The City Movie. I am in love with Carrie’s look not only do her clothes do the talking i was amazed at how sophisticated and discreet her make-up is. After seeing the movie i went on a trip to Selfridges to find a colourful eyeshadow and of cause i went for Green!
I went for the M.A.C collection as they last for ever and the colour really makes you stand out in the crowd.
To finish the ‘Carrie’ look to perfection add a generous amount of black eyeliner and tons of black mascara, even though not everyone has those enviable cheekbones of SJP give yours an application of a pink shade and add a touch of natural pink lipstick and there you have the look, get on your highest pair of heels and go out and dazzle!

Ghost by Ghost
June 16, 2008
I HATE it when i get bought a bottle of perfume as a gift as i believe perfume is a personal choice for most women. On so many occasions i have been bought a bottle and had to do a fake smile and pretend it is the best perfume i have ever smelt and walk round feeling sick as i smell rancid. So i was pretty nervous when my mate came back from her holiday this weekend and bought me a bottle of Ghost by Ghost, i have heard of this make but never tried it, thankfully and much to my pleasure this fragrance is gorgeous. It is very feminine scent with a slight hint of fruit.
The design of the bottle is great, it is very girly, it looks like a tall elegant lady! Everyone has been commenting on the smell of this perfume and it lasts all day.
Visit your nearest Debenhams or buy online to buy this fragrance, prices varie from £16.00 - £42.00

Joe Malone - Green Tea & Honey Eye Cream
June 13, 2008
FANTASTIC!!!! Its the best word i could think of to describe Jo Malone green tea and honey eye cream. I have always been a little sceptical when it comes to using eye creams, they always seem so overpriced and the results were not that good……until i used Jo Malone!
The cream contains green tea and honey to help prevent any puffiness and under eye circles. All i did was add a small amount under my eyes every night after cleansing and the results were instant. I woke up with soft skin under my eyes and looking fresh.
It is not cheap at £35.00 for a 15ml pot but it is definitely worth it, offers value for money in the long run as it lasts for ages.

Dazzerling Smile!!!
June 12, 2008
I think everyone must be envious of celebrities with their faultless, gleaming white smiles, and we think to ourselves, i wish my teeth could look that good!
There are so many products out there that claim to give you that Hollywood ‘White’ Smile from toothpastes, gels, home whitening kits to laser treatment.
I recently used Pearl Drops paste, and it is working wonders, as well as being reasonably priced. Do not expect to wake up with a bright white smile as it does take time until you will notice the results. I have been using it twice a day for the past 4 weeks and i am really starting to notice a difference now. When you buy the paste you do get a colour card so you can monitor the improvement of how many shades lighter your teeth are getting.
I highly recommend this brand of tooth paste, just keep patient for the first few weeks but you will notice results and be a step closer to that celebrity smile!
