Would you like to smell like Hollyoaks???

I am getting pretty tired of the amount of celeb’s who are bringing out fragrances, I would never dream of buying one and will always go for a brand even if they smell nice it just seems to corny. So I was shocked to here that Hollyoaks (The TV show!!!) are joining in. This is definitely going one step too far what next a bottle of Emmerdale or Coronation Street? It is beyond a joke!

Hollyoaks are going to be the UK’s first programme to launch a fragrance and I think they should give up now and feel ashamed! Would you not be embarrassed to own a bottle of Hollyoaks???

The stars of the Channel 4 show are apparently excited about the launch, I am pleased they are cos I doubt anybody else is going to be!

And even better news there will be a men’s fragrance too, what a perfect Christmas gift, NOT!

So for all you Hollyoak fans you will be able to buy the fragrance from the 30th September at The Perfume Shop.

If you do buy a bottle of Eau de Chester please do let me know the smell as I am intrigued but will not be adding this to my collection!

How not to apply fake tan…

Laugh out loud! OMG how I laughed when I looked at this picture of the usually attractive Frank Lampard looking more like Homer Simpson than a fit footballer. The poor guy look’s ill! This is one fake tan gone seriously wrong! There was once a golden era, when top-flight players paraded their unadulterated blokeyness like a badge of honour.

I cant understand why he actually left the house looking like this. Its usually the likes of Jodie Marsh,  Chantelle Houghton or any other Big Brother reject who fall victim to dreaded curse of fake tan gone extremely wrong – just take a look at the hilarious picture below for evidence that men are just as bad.

I was surprised that the snap was taken from him leaving Funky Buddah and not a drag queen party. I am surprised that with all those millions he is worth that he applies his own fake tan.

Dale Winton you have competition in the orange stakes as Frank has very nearly pinched your place!

Planet skincare costs £60 and incorporates syntheised snake venom, which mimics the effect of a snakebite. This will leave you face in a stunned state and has a similar effect to botox.

It is made from venom from an Asian snake and is being touted as the latest miracle to fight off those dreaded wrinkles.

The makers claim that the product visibly reduces lines and wrinkles in 28 days, with a 52% reduction in wrinkles and 82% increase in skin smoothness, sounds very convincing and not one to shy away from new products I think I will be heading to Selfridges this weekend to buy this pot of pain!

Freak Alert…

If you are a Big Brother fan I am sure you couldn’t of missed the fact Stuart is not shy when it comes to wearing a bit of eye shadow and eyeliner. I must say I do find him absolutely gorgeous. He reminds me of Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean.

But what the hell was going on when he turned up at Selfridges to launch YSL Touche Edclat For Men? I mean why why why why why would he wear all that slap. He looked like a drag queen. I think it is bad enough men wearing make-up but all that mascara is vile.

I had a good rant about this recently as I don’t believe that men should have many beauty products but know they are going to be wearing make-up. It has to stop here before you know it men will be wearing stilettos!

If you are a man who has no shame in wearing make-up Touche Eclat For Men is unfragranced and is to encourage you to wear it is a skin enhancer, rather than create a full make-up look. This is in follow up to this years bizarre launch of guy-liner and man-scara. I am not trying to sell this to you as I think you will look a complete pratt but everyone has there on taste!

I think Stu is in need of make-up remover fast and good body scrub to remove his fake tan.

Victoria Beckham arrived at the Marc Jacobs show Monday night sporting a super-short new hair cut. Everyone seems to love it! What do you think of her hair? I think it’s a stunning cut it reminds me of Halle Berry Bond Girl Look mixed with a dash of Audrey Hepburn.

The hair cut not only fits her tone, but also the shape of her face and body. Victoria Beckham has always been a trend setter when it comes to new hair styles so i am sure this hair style will be copied by millions as many people take delight in keeping up with Victoria Beckham and her new hair styles. It has already become the must-have for Autumn 08. It will be a difficult one to pull off as not many women suit short, crop styles.

If you are ready to go for the chop now you need to keep the hair very short and choppy and make sure that the edges are textured and soft. To add extra glam always make sure that your hair has a fantastic shine!

So will you be dashing to the hair salon and asking the hairdresser to get busy with the scissors to achieve the pixie crop???

The Braided Headband

One trend that keeps popping up on numerous celebs is the braided-headband. I absolutely love this look; it is fuss-free and ultra cool.

It can be sported at work or in a nightclub it adds instant glamour to any event!

It is not easy to create this look but practice makes perfect!

To start – make a low braid that’s slightly off-center from the nape. Then make a strong, tight braid and secure with a clear elastic band. Wrap the braid up over the head like a headband and secure with  pins.

My favourite style so far has to be LC’s from The Hills with her braid just above the crown of her head.

Perfect vision without glasses

Are you one of those people who have to rely on your glasses and contact lenses everyday just so you can see what is happening around you? It can make the simple things in life difficult. Imagine waking up in the morning and being able to get on with your day without wearing your lenses or even better not have to squint at your computer or TV all day and being left with frown lines, not a good look and can result in you needing botox or fillers! That’s why I strongly would recommend Lasik surgery.

It is now a simple procedure and works by changing the shape of the cornea. Millions of people opt for laser eye surgery now who once had to rely on glasses or contact lenses.

My friend recently underwent surgery and has not regretted it one bit. It was pain free and best of all worked! It has left her vision crystal clear. It was more of a joy for me knowing she has had this done as it was not fun spending a night on my hands and knees in a bar trying to find her missing contact lenses!

So time to ditch the glasses and contacts and break free from the inconveniences!!!

Worst Mascara

I am a mascara freak, I could not live without it! But if I had to go a year without mascara or wear Maybelline XXL I would go for the year without mascara!

This “stuff” is grose it doesn’t even brush or shape your lashes so they go the same way. The worst thing you could do is re-apply you will be best with 4 almighty clumps of eyelashes. I was more worried taking this dreading thing off as my lashes were that stiff I thought they were going to fall off! After I eventually got this crap off my eye lashes they were swollen and really itchy.

I think enough is said – do not be seduced by the hype and lure of owning this evil wand it’s a load of rubbish.

Pout like Angelina Jolie

For all the people who envy Angelina Jolie and yearned to have a pair like them I have put together a few tips on how to get yours looking fuller to rival her!

Fuller lips for most girlies are on of our sought after assets. A plump pout looks sensous, adds the oomph factor and makes you look more feminine.

Its simple, all you need to do is exfoliate your lips daily with warm water and a flannel and wipe back and forth for around a minute. Apply a good lip plumper, I still a huge fan of Dior, it works wonders for plumping up my lips. Apply a small amount of powder across your lips and my best secret is to add a bit of cayenne this plumps and colours your lips as it makes the blood flow increase! Lip liner is great too just make sure you match it to your skin tone as closely as you can. Lat but not least drink plenty of water.

Or if you are daring and will take a risk of having a trout pout you could go for lip augmentation surgery where implants are inserted into your lips and make them look plump or go for collagen.
