Are Men Vainer Than Women?
September 15, 2008
O yes! Men are so vain and I find it rather weird that men are getting vainer than women. It’s a women’s prerogative not yours! I mean why o why do we now have to sit around waiting for the bathroom and have to share the bathroom shelf with BOTH of our products, its just not right!
Nothing is wrong with a man taking pride in his appearance but there are limits! The word pretty boy comes into my head yes he might be good on the eye but it can be hard work and get a little obsessive. One thing I find a huge turn off is when men stare at there reflection in shop windows, car mirrors, ext.
Here is a list of the main treatments that men tend to go for now:
Waxing (Sack, back and crack, Urgh!!!)
Self Tanning
Manicures
Facials
Cosmetic Implants
I don’t mind a man asking if he looks good in a pair of jeans but asking if his skin is looking clearer after a new moisturiser he has purchased or get ready for it using YOUR razor to shave his vile legs………pleeeease stop right now!
Ok call me old fashioned but men should be men. Women should be feminine but when it comes to men it should be more of a hard look, rough and rugged. Vanity smacks of being insecure and In a man it is not attractive. Men should be confident! I think they should still look good and dress well though!

Botox, the new boob job!
September 12, 2008
What has quickly become a trend in the US is now heading over here, and in my book seems slightly scary! Botox for boobs is the new boob job. A reporter for E! Entertainment in the US noticed an absence of cleavage wrinkles among A-listers recently
“Botoxed boobs are the lastest trend in LA” (Debbie Matenopoulos)
Apparently it is a really popular treatment and now British stars are starting to ask for it too. Botox is a chemical that relaxes the muscles giving the skin a smoother look and the treatment is being hailed as the quick fix boob job. It lasts for about 4 to 6 months and is said to be pain and scar free and has little or no recovery time unlike the usual boob job. At about £250 a go it appears to be the quick remedy to crinkly boobs!!
Super wrinkle solution alert…

Most beauty insiders insist that the secret behind anti-ageing products is oils.
I love Aromessence Excellence, this is definitely one of the must-have face oils to have in your collection. It is my pot of magic now, its main ingredient is neroli essential oil (citrus aurantium amara) which is basically bitter orange flower oil. This is the most expensive essential oil in the market.
It has the best oils all in one pot, there is such a variety that it is perfect for all skin types. It consists of the following:
a) Hazelnut oil – it contains vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential fatty acids and is suitable for all skin types, especially inflamed conditions
b) Neroli oil – good for scarred skin, thread veins, wrinkles and it tones the skin
c) Sandalwood oil – for dry, cracked and chapped skin and also greasy skin
d) Juniper oil - good for people who suffers from acne, dermatitis, eczema
e) Clary sage oil – for oily skins
f) Parsley oil – good for broken blood vessels
It is really easy to fit this product into your daily skincare routine. Just add a few drops onto your face after cleansing and hey presto your done! I have been using it for the past week and I have noticed that my skin is much clearer than usual and the redness on my cheeks has toned down.
This is not a cheap product at £70.00 but it promises an impressive 77% reduction in wrinkles after four weeks! See it as a little treat for your skin!

Black lipstick is the new red
September 10, 2008
The Yves Saint Laurent show left me pretty speechless after looking over the pictures. Stefano Pilati showcased his new designs and black lipstick is going to be the new red?!?
I don’t know how the models managed to pull off the pout of death look. Surely this is not ideal and is going to make kissing a messy affair.
I am more intrigued how many people are going to be sporting this trend – would you wear black lipstick?
The YSL’s Pur Black gloss hasn’t been shipped yet but you can pre-order. I know I will be not rushing to buy one any time soon as there is no way I could pull this off without venturing into Morticia Addam’s territory!
If you are a wanting to try it out and venture to the dark side but do not want to be mistaken for a zombie, I would recommend going for dramatic eyes and bold lips in a wine colour.

Calvin Klein
September 9, 2008
Following a very controversial advertising campaign, fronted by Eva Mendes, who gamely writhers and moans in (presumably) perfumed ecstasy, wearing little to none and banned by several U.S. television networks, Calvin Klein’s new fragrance has finally arrived in the UK, I went out to buy the Secret Obsession and the scent is delightful.
Secret Obsession, is the brand’s latest feminine fragrance it has a sweet, fruity smell and is not to overpowering.

Perfume to put a smile on your face
September 3, 2008
Would you buy a perfume if it states that it will lift your mood and make you smile???
There has been a huge buzz about Smiley, a fragrance that has been marketed as a “happy-therapy”guarantees to make you smile. Well I thought it was worth trying, I was a little suspicious, surely a few chemical ingredients is not actually going to do anything? And I thought it was fab I absolutely loved it!
It now has front row seat on my fragrance cabinet so I have it to hand to have a quick squirt whenever I need a pick me up.
The smell is unusual, it’s a blend of citrus and lemon with a touch of spicy fruit and cocoa. It has a selection of essential oils included, from orange bergamot and praline, with myrrh thrown into the mix to give it depth.
It is the theobromine that is the secret to this fragrance as it reduces stress and phenethylamine to set off a feeling of happiness. It seriously does work every time I spray I feel energized and lifted.
The bottle looks “crap” that is the only downside to this! It is in plastic packaging and reminds me of a bottle they use in a hospital!
