There’s a new dame in MAC Cosmetics - MAC to launch Dame Edna range of cosmetics

OMG can you believe that Dame Edna is set to realise cosmetics working alongside the much loved MAC company!

This is sooooooooo exciting if not a little crazy. I mean how cool is Dame Edna and the collection looks so glamorous and super sexy and will add instant glamour to your handbag.

I remember Dame Edna when I was younger and was always fascinated by her candy pink hair, garish make-up and those famous diamond humongous glasses…style icon in my eyes!!!

So as you can probably imagine this range is going to be OTT with rich colours and very funky packing that each compact will have a picture of Dame Edna’s spectacles on there and her name scrawled on the foundation pallets…absolute genius!

There will also by nails varnishes, powder, eye shadows, lip glosses and lipsticks.

The one I am desperate to get my hands on is the red lipstick. The red is fantastic and a definite must have!

It hits are shores in January and I know that I will be first in the queue as this range is expected to sell out in less than a month…

Humorous beauty products

When it comes to our beauty regime we all like to take it seriously but thanks to Soap&Glory we can now have a bit of fun with it too!

This brand is a wicked range with humorous names for there beauty products from Marcia Kilgore, the creator of the Bliss spa range. The names of the products are highly amusing a lip plumping gloss is named Sexy Mother Pucker, Clean On Me shower gel and One Night Tanned, self tanning cream.

The packaging is retro pink and grey with black and white 60’s inspired pictures and different slogans on it.
I am a bit of a sucker and fall for packaging, especially anything pink and pretty, so I simply bought these just so they would look cool on my bathroom shelf!

I come across the range in Harvey Nichols but you can also purchase from the larger Boots stores.

Give your hair the x-factor

There is something about Diana Vickers off the X-Factor and that birds nest hair. Its quirky and i love it! I think its a love or hate thing though, just like her singing and those uncontrollable hands.

She has got great individual style going on with her hippy dress sense and bedhead hair and it is the most easiest style to copy.

Follow these simple steps to create the look:

Don’t wash your hair with normal shampoo use dry shampoo
When you hair finished shampooing your hair use a comb to brush through your hair
Tip your head forward and blow dry your hair upside down
Start back combing your hair whilst spraying with hairspray. The tip is to back comb, back comb and more back comb!
Give your hair a quick scrunch and da daaa a Diana do has been created!

You will look bang on trend if you go out with your hair like this and it works from day to night!

Banish those blemishes

We have only been in December for a few days and already the late nights have started so as you can probably imagine it is playing chaos with my skin leaving me with blemishes and spots, ewww!

As blemishes is one thing that drives me nearly as mad as cellulite I had to find a quick fix so here is where i share my secret with you if you are suffering from blotchy skin. You need to buy Blemish Complex, it’s a four step kit that gets rid of those dreaded blotches and pimples.

I have been using it for 1 week now and I have noticed a huge improvement in my skin, it is not as clear as I would like it to be but I have only been using the kit for a week!

It is really easy to use and all comes in the same pack. Firstly you start with step 1 the Cleanser to wash and remove all dirt and grease from your skin, step 2 is the blemish target formula that you place directly on the blemish, step 3, scrub your face with the blemish treatment gel and finally step 4, a light moisturiser.
