The little things in life that make you feel good…
March 2, 2009
I don’t believe that no one has those days where you feel like everything is against you and on those days I usually believe that I have been cursed as EVERYTHING seems to go wrong.
On these days instead of moping around all evening you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself, pull yourself together and do something that will make you feel happy and perk you up!
Firstly stop being so negative about yourself! Once in a while pay yourself a compliment, I don’t mean blow yourself kisses (though you can do that if it works!) just find something that you are happy with. Is your hair looking soft and glossy today? Is your face blemish free? There must be at least one thing that you are happy with and it should boost your mood and put that much needed smile back on your face. Try and pay yourself a compliment every day and it is guaranteed to make you like yourself more and that will show in your mood.
Have a night out with the girls! Get yourself dolled up to the max, that means dig out your hair products and make-up and make yourself look fabulous, put on your best outfit but go for colour and to finish the look put on a sequin jacket. A sequin jacket is a classic and adds sex appeal to any outfit and makes you stand out in a crowd, get your camera charged and go out and party! Make sure you take plenty of pics and look back on the pictures and admire how fab you look and how much fun you had.
Exercise! I hate exercise sooooooo much but if I push myself into doing some I feel brilliant as soon as my work out is over and it instantly makes me feel a happier more positive person. You don’t have to go out running 5k a day just try and do some form of exercise, even a relaxing yoga class does the trick!
Change your ways! Think about why you are unhappy and write down what the problem is and how you can improve it. There is a way round most things you just need to put your head to it and find a solution. When you have figured out what your problem is work on ways to improve and this will help you attain a better self-image.
Do what you want to do! Me time is my favourite time. My me time that makes me smile is running a bath, getting into some snug clothes and watching a chic flick. There is loads of things that will make you happy so do it, as long as your doing what YOU want to do that is all that matters!
Be ruthless! Have a fresh start to the day and dig out some bin bags and get rid of all the stuff that you don’t want anymore. It makes you feel more positive and fresh! Then when you have had a blitz why not go out and treat yourself…retail therapy, perfect!
If you try and stick to these points when your having a ‘bad’ day you will hopefully wake up with a more positive look on life and appreciate yourself more.
