Keep checks on your beauty products…

March 20, 2009

I know if you spend a fortune on a beauty product it can be hard to part with it and you want to keep it as long as possible but be brave and if you have had it for a certain amount of time it might be the time to kiss it good bye and make its way to the dustbin, booooooooo!

Sun Cream –
Sun creams do state that they last over 2 years but you should really part with your sun tan lotion after 1 year because of the heat of the sun and bacteria.

Mascara –
I am a bugger for keeping a mascara running as long as possible but after 3 months you should replace with a new one as your old one will be a bacteria breeding ground. More reason to add extra mascara on every morning and have luscious, long lashes everyday.

Toothbrush –
If you want clean, shiny teeth you need to change your tooth brush every 3 to 6 months. When the bristles wear down you are not going to achieve a dazzerling smile and worst your at risk of a mouth infection as bacteria lives on the bristles of your brush.

Lip Balm –
Lip balm seems to last a life time but after 2 years you should replace it or replace sooner if it has an SPF. Your hands are full of germs and think how many will be in the pot of you stick your fingers into it every day for a year, grose!
