How to prevent acne…

January 23, 2009

Everyone once in there life will have a dreaded spot appear and think that the only way to get rid of it is to squeeze away…big NO!

Follow the below to stop your spots from spreading:

Never pick, squeeze or rub the skin as you are going to make the problem worse and if you squeeze to much you are at risk of scaring.

Try to not use facial products that have a fragrance. The fragrance reacts with your spots making them redder.

Change your diet! If you are eating lots of chocolate and caffeine drinks there is a good chance this is the reason for your acne outburst. Replace the junk with plenty of water, fruit, vegetables and fish. You will notice an instant glow in your complexion if you make these changes.

Keep your hands to yourself and touch your face as little as possible. Your hands are full of germs and you are only going to pass those germs onto your face.

Face clothes are vile! All you are doing is rubbing the dirt from the day before all over your face again. Say good bye to your face cloth, toughly wash your hands and use your beauty products with your hands.

Always wash your face first thing in the morning and before you go to bed. If you sleep with your make-up on you are guaranteed to get more spots as you are not giving your face chance to breathe.

If you have had a large acne outburst you will want to cover up by applying loads of foundation but this will only make the matter worse. I know it can be pretty bad but if you really have to add make-up get a light concealer and dab a tiny amount on the spot to take the redness away. If you can brave it though and want the acne to clear fast you need to keep clean and well away from make-up.
